CBD, or cannabidiol, is a compound found primarily in the flowers and leaves of the hemp plant. It’s one of many powerful phytocannabinoids found in hemp, and is known for supporting body and mind in various beneficial ways. CBD does not cause you to feel ‘high.’
Our CBD Oil goes through two very important testing methods to ensure we use ONLY the highest quality CBD in our products.
1. Microbial testing – [Our products are certified free of mold, bacteria, terpenes, pesticides, solvent residues, and other harmful contaminants. This ensures that we are able to offer only the best-quality CBD products.]
2. Cannabinoid testing – This process confirms the type of cannabinoid, CBD strength and THC content in each batch
Our quality control standards are verified by an independent lab specializing in CBD product testing.
Our manufacturing facility uses state-of-the-art equipment. Products are stored in temperature controlled rooms and separate from other products as an added measure of quality control.
CBD Oil from Sacred Life most often arrives within just a few business days to the customer. The oil is delivered ready-to-use.
Is this a marijuana-based supplement?
The cannabis plants that produce CBD are known by several names – hemp is cultivated for plant fiber, marijuana is grown as a drug, and cannabis refers to the whole plant family. Our CBD is sourced from hemp, but does not cause the high that marijuana creates.
How do I get started using CBD?
The best way to use CBD is to start with a smaller dose and assess the effect it has on your body over time. You’ll experience both fast-acting results and longer-term benefits. It’s important to work slowly to stronger doses of CBD to allow your body to effectively absorb the constituents and assess the full effect of this supplement.
How do I know if I’m getting a full dose of CBD?
To get one full dose of CBD, take 1ml (30 drops) a day or as directed by your healthcare professional. Hold under tongue for 90 seconds before swallowing. 1m (30 drops) is equivalent to filling the dropper half full.
How does CBD work?
Your body has a vast network of receptors called the endocannabinoid system. Their purpose is to help you stay mentally and emotionally balanced, even when challenged by external factors and stress. CBD and other cannabinoids connect with those receptors on a chemical level to help your body stay in good health and support many of the body’s physical processes.
What should I do if I don’t feel anything after taking a dose?
Although we recommend 1 ml a day as a starting point, there is actually no official dosage for CBD oil. A dosage that works for one person may not work for another. Take a regular dosage of CBD for one week, whether you experience benefits or not (But if you are taking a mood altering medication and your anxiety or depression worsens while taking CBD, stop taking it immediately.) If your CBD supplement does not provide noticeable results within a week, increase the dosage incrementally. Use the new dose for at least a week. If increasing your dosage still does not produce results, consider raising it again the following week. Eventually you will find the perfect CBD level for your body. Note that it’s always a good idea to talk to your healthcare provider when considering these changes.
DOES IT CONTAIN THC? WILL IT SHOW UP ON DRUG TESTS?
Although this product does not contain adequate amounts of the psychoactive constituent to affect mental processes, it may contain trace amounts of the cannabinoid THC – less than 0.3%. So although this supplement cannot cause a high, it may lead to a positive on a drug test for opiods – much like the consumption of poppy seeds would. If you are evaluated with drug testing, we strongly suggest talking to a healthcare professional before using a hemp product. Your individual body chemistry, how your body processes cannabinoids, and the possibility of trace, but legal, amounts of THC naturally occurring in this supplement are all factors to take under consideration.
